I have been excited to blog this maternity photography session – a special one because it’s my sister and her husband. They just welcomed their first baby (a boy!) last week. Sadly we are many miles apart; they are up in Michigan and I’m counting down the days until our drive up to meet the little man (and to photograph him, of course). He came two weeks early so for now I’m surviving on daily photos and FaceTime. Thank you technology. And to my sister for sending me so many photos of his cute little face.
Back in April I flew up to Michigan for a short visit. We threw my sister a baby shower and snuck in a maternity photography session too. As usual, time got away from us and we didn’t really have much time to location hunt. So we did our hunt as we were driving to their session. I’m a lover of fields and sunsets so I was giddy when we found this little gem. There was even a pear tree. By water. With the sun setting in the perfect spot. And all of it, behind a grocery store! Honestly, we didn’t need an amazing spot, just this adorable couple, but the location made it all the more magical.
I’m so glad that I was able to document their pregnancy. I usually give a lot of direction to my clients during their sessions, but these two didn’t need much. Aren’t they the cutest?! I can’t wait to share their newborn session in a few weeks.
Congrats you two. That baby is one lucky guy to have parents like you.
I love when clients book a mini maternity session in addition to their newborn sessions. It’s fun way to document the pregnancy journey and I’m always thankful to be part of it. For pricing and availability, fill out the form on the contact page.
